Full paper submission

General guidelines

All accepted and as the conference participants registered Authors are hereby invited to prepare and submit full manuscript submissions here on our website until 31st December 2019 (24:00 CET), for potential publication in the Conference Proceedings.

The Authors are not charged in any way by the Publisher (Faculty of Education) for the cost of receiving, reviewing, and publishing manuscripts. The Authors are also not paid in any way for their submitted manuscript, reviewed, and/or published manuscript, and are not entitled to royalties or other fees of any kind. Submission of the manuscript does not guarantee that it will be published. Manuscripts may be published upon review, and if the article’s editorial process is successfully completed.

The Conference proceedings will publish empirical, and theoretical/review articles, with priority given to articles that are of wider international interest, in particular empirical research and international comparative research that are not locally specific, and are thematically bound to the conference theme.  Only manuscripts submitted in UK English and of sufficient quality (i.e., whether the manuscript complies with the consensual scientific and editorial standards of the conference proceedings, and if it fits the conference aim and theme) will be reviewed.

All Authors of the reviewed and accepted abstracts for this conference who registered to take part in the conference and wish to submit the full manuscript are kindly asked to comply with the following requirements.

About the authorship

All received manuscripts are subject to routine disclosure of similarity with the existing literature (i.e., plagiarism, and self-plagiarism).

When submiting manuscripts, authors must tick the Statement on authorship and originality of the manuscript. It includes, when and if applicable for a specific manuscript, the statement on the use of psychological measurement instruments, and/or computer programs. This should be in accordance with the applicable regulations and the use of legitimate copies or possession of written permission for the rights to their use.

If the article was prepared jointly with other authors, the submitting Author must tick and therefore warrant that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to submit the manuscript on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of all the publishing guidelines for the conference proceedings.

Author’s responsibility, and changes to authorship, must be made according to the guidelines for authors of the European Association of Scientific Editors (EASE) http://ease.org.uk/publications/author-guidelines

The submitted manuscript is Author’s own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including their own previously published work. The manuscript has been submitted only to the conference proceedings; it is not under consideration or peer review, accepted for publication, in press or published elsewhere. If the Author is reproducing copyrighted material (and is not the copyright owner or holder of that material) in the submitted manuscript, then it is the Author’s responsibility to obtain written permission from the copyright owner prior to manuscript submission, ensure appropriate acknowledgement and pay fees which the copyright holder may charge.

Copyright for the articles published in the Conference proceedings is retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the Publisher (this applies to both print and electronic issue). Manuscripts published in the Conference proceedings are licensed under the Creative Commons license CC-BY-NC (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). This licence permits users to use, reproduce, disseminate or display the article provided that the author is attributed as the original creator and that the reuse is restricted to non-commercial purposes.

The Conference proceedings support open access.

The full content of the proceedings will be published online in the Conference proceedings, and free for everyone to read, download, disseminate or use in any other legal way without requesting explicit permission from the Author or Publisher.

About the manuscript

The manuscript should be submitted as Microsoft Word document. Submitted full manuscripts should be no longer than 7000 words (including references and appendices). Submissions exceeding this limit may not be accepted for review.

Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance to APA (American Psychological Association) standards (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th ed.). The text should be double-spaced and all pages should be numbered. The first page should contain the author’s name and surname, the name and address of the institution in which the author is employed, and the title of the article written in capital letters. (The Editorial board will delete this information before sending the manuscript to be reviewed). All graphics should be in black-and-white print mode. Tables and graphs need to be in black and white, saved in original format, with their size and complexity adjusted to the format of the manuscript so that all the elements are visible. They must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and all must include title. The graphics should be placed at their exact position in the text, where intended by the author(s). All manuscripts should be written in UK English. They must be proofread carefully before submission.  The manuscripts  require prior proofreading and editing by native speaker or professional editor to eliminate grammatical or spelling errors. To maintain the quality of the conference proceedings, we would kindly ask you to attach a letter of Confirmation of proofreading in English to your full manuscript.

The submitted manuscript file should not exceed 10 MB.

About the review process

Please note that we use a double blind peer review process. All manuscripts will be sent to two reviewers and, should the manuscript require some revision, authors will be sent the revised manuscript and asked to modify it according to the requirements of the reviewers. If authors disagree with the reviewers, they will be asked to give reasons for their disagreement. Should the reviewers’ reports contradict one another, a further expert opinion will be sought.

Authors can write an appeal letter regarding the review process or the decision on the manuscript to the Editor in chief (Željko Rački). In case of repeated appeal, the Editor decides on the basis of a discussion at a meeting of the Editorial board or upon recommendation of an independent adjudicator. The final decision on a manuscript is made by the Editorial Board.
